ABOUT READ CORP

Real Estate Asset Disposition Corporation, or “READ Corp”, as it has come to be known, is a real estate services and advisory company formed in 2001.  The mission at that time was to provide innovative products and support services for the mortgage banking and portfolio servicing industry. READ Corp’s product offerings included tools and support mechanisms which allowed financial institutions and lenders to better manage non-performing loans.  More successful and efficient outcomes were achieved by implementing loan resolution strategies, sound asset management and valuation protocols, risk mitigation guidance, foreclosure management and disposition.

Jim Banford, CEO

The success and evolution of READ Corp’s product offerings, along with a well-received client reception, led to significant year-over-year growth trends and industry penetration on a national level.  The expansive growth and development over the aught 2000’s culminated at the onset of the Great Recession.  With our foundation already laid, READ Corp grew to the largest REO service provider in the State of Florida, holding that title for more than a decade, and equating to over 14,000 REO and Short Sale transactions closed across seven regional offices, representing $1.7B in sales.

Leveraging our operational strengths and multi-disciplined real estate and finance based labor force, READ entered the single-family residential for-rent industry at its institutional beginnings in 2012. Our business quickly evolved and expanded alongside our institutional investor partners, resulting in our acquisition of more than 4,000 properties over the next several years.

As a natural progression, READ Corp today has evolved into a firm that incorporates land acquisition strategies, land development, financing and construction services that produce new pre-sold homes for the SFR to Rent, or Build to Rent (BTR) segment of the institutional landlord industry.

READ is comprised by professionals who hail from backgrounds in banking/finance, sales, institutional investment, valuation, construction, compliance, and property management.  As economic cycles have played out, READ Corp continues to evolve with the changing times, bolstered by our diverse backgrounds, and always asking, “What’s next?”.
